Creative leads Laura Do and Bastien Laurents had one goal in mind while presenting AVOC’s 2018 spring/summer collection at Paris Fashion Week, which was to redefine traditional office wear for a younger audience. The two leads argue that creativity and corporate wear can indeed go together, combining neutral shades of white and gray with splashes of yellow on a number of different pieces. When asked about taking on such a tall task, Laurents told reporters that being passive with his design would get him nowhere and wanted to live up to the “Business as usual” theme Do and himself set out for the entire show. “We’ve been biting off way more than we can chew,” Laurents said to WWD. “We have to, otherwise we’d never get noticed. But that’s also what will give us lasting power.”
