A game developer has created an augmented reality version of the iconic first level of Super Mario Bros. To make the game, developer Abhishek Singh had to adjust some of the original game’s elements so that it would be possible to be played on a human scale, for example, the height that Mario could jump wouldn’t be possible IRL.

After he’d worked out those issues, though, he was able to put on his best Mario costume and head to Central Park to put the game to the test. Take a look at the prototype AR game above, but there’s no indication that this version of the game will ever make it to mass production.
