Richard Mille and tennis star Rafael Nadal took on the challenge of an on-court watch nine years ago and haven’t looked back. Now, the duo announces the next generation in performance and luxury watches with the new Richard Mille RM 27-03. This model sports not only an exclusivity factor and price tag to match but also the most cutting edge watch technology to stay lightweight, shock resistant and perform under the most nerve racking situations.
Since Richard Mille insists that brand ambassadors wear its product during play, the RM 27-03 flaunts the ability to withstand up to 10,000 g’s of force, resistance on another level which matches the intensity of the nine-time French Open champion. In addition, the palette of red, orange and yellow on the watch are a direct homage to the red clay courts of Roland Garros and the crown is meant to look like a tennis ball. Also the tourbillon motif dial looks like the horns of a bull, Rafa’s logo.
The Richard Mille RM 27-03 will retail for $750,000 USD and be limited to only 50 pieces. Watch aficionados and Nadal fans can learn more at Richard Mille’s website and watch the French Open, which has already started and runs until June 10.
