First announcing that Penelope Cruz would be tapped to play Donatella Versace in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming season of American Crime Story back in March, we’re back this time to showcase an official first look at Cruz portraying the eccentric fashion designer. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story narrates the tragic story of Gianni Versace’s untimely murder by Andrew Cunanan. As earlier posted by Entertainment Weekly, we see here the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star sporting a blonde hairdo and lavish pink gown while lapping it up in front of the Versace Miami mansion.
