A New Kahlil Joseph Installation Is Coming to New York's New Museum
Featuring new work from the Kendrick collaborator.
Kahlil Joseph, the filmmaker who has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Sampha and Beyoncé, has announced a new film installation that will be shown at New York’s New Museum. The exhibition has been co-commissioned by TATE and The Vinyl Factory and will feature a new film shot in Harlem and inspired by photographer Roy DeCarava alongside m.A.A.d., the film Joseph made with Kendrick. The new film is a reflection on the rhythms of daily life, which will look at the past, present, and future of Harlem and New York and has been shot in black and white. The exhibition opens on September 27, and will run until January 7.
