Rōnin's 2017 Spring Lookbook Reveals Samurai-Inspired Graphics and Lightweight Jackets
Including a nod to the popular anime, ‘Samurai Champloo.’
I’ts difficult to deny the impact that Japanese pop culture has had on Americans in the past decade, notably anime and the fictional tales that depict the way of the samurai. While this influence is present in many areas of street culture, the ideology of a lone warrior is constantly the focus for New York-based streetwear label Rōnin.
Back again for 2017 spring, the collection is made up of lightweight jackets such as color-blocked parkas and a sleek black anorak. The various graphic tees hold many anime references to Kuroko no Basuke, Evangelion, and a nod to Samurai Champloo‘s episode titled, “Misguided Miscreants.” Check out the lookbook above, and be ready to cop the collection when it drops Friday, April 28 at 9 p.m. EST on the Rōnin web store.
