This M 240 Is One of Leica's Most Unique Limited Edition Cameras Yet
Celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Daimaru department store.

Leica is no stranger to limited edition offerings. Just this week, the renowned German manufacturer unveiled two unique Qs to celebrate the opening of its GINZA SIX storefront — it’s tenth Japanese flagship. These came hot on the heels of last month’s “Blue Stain” MP to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Leica Store Berlin. Now Leica is back with yet another commemorative offering: a lacquered M 240. Crafted in honor of Japanese department store Daimaru’s incredible 300-year anniversary, the design is limited to just 50 units and sees a hand-lacquered top to go along with a corresponding lens cap — both of which are finished in Wajima, Japan.
Those interested can place an order for the shooter now at Daimaru for about $12,000 USD.
