'Atomic Blonde' Trailer Features More Killing, Kissing, and an '80s/Kanye West Hybrid Soundtrack
Charlize Theron is savage.
Atomic Blonde released its second trailer starring kick-ass MI6 spy, Lorraine Broughton (played by Charlize Theron). We follow our female Bond-esque assassin costarring alongside Sandrine (Sofia Boutella), a novice French spy and Berlin station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) within this action-packed film filled with luxurious killing sprees and strong ’80s trench coat references during the pre-collapse of the Berlin Wall. Interestingly, the trailer delivers an eclectic blend of ’80s classic hits, “Blue Monday” by New Order and “Personal Jesus” by Depeche Mode incorporated with Kanye West’s deep bass “BLKKK SKKKN HEAD” beat.
Watch as our heroine, for example, single-handedly takes out two armed spies in a moving vehicle using just her shoe. Atomic Blonde directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Deadpool 2) premieres July 28.
