After dropping off an edgy spring/summer collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August of 2016, Danish brand Won Hundred returns with its 2017 fall/winter collection. Inspired by speedway racing, the collection features an assortment of design aesthetics seen at the track on motorcycle enthusiasts including leather, stars, boots, denim jeans and jackets, and racing-inspired font. A multitude of pieces are draped in a bright mustard yellow and red hue to follow the theme.
Nikolaj Nielsen, founder and creative director said that, “Since I was a kid Speedway Racing has fascinated me. The fast, expressive and powerful motorcycling sport made me want to explore how the dynamic tension and champion attitude can be mirrored in the archetype Won Hundred look.” While the collection does focus heavily on the inspiration from the track, it also has a hefty amount of garbs for time spent away from the track at functions including jackets, dress shirts and slacks.
