'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Multiplayer Features Over 1,000 Playable Combinations
Which loadout will fit your playstyle?
With the launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda less than a week away, BioWare and EA give us a first look at how the multiplayer mode will function and all the goodies to expect. Stressing teamwork, four players will join forces to defeat various waves of enemies in increasing difficulty while trying to meet objectives before extraction. At launch, 25 character kits will be available with species from the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, each with their own unique skills and abilities. Forty unique weapons with Milky Way, Heleus Cluster and Remnant tech can be used in custom loadouts with all weapons being fully modifiable and with no class restrictions.
Developers promise that character kits and weapons will be updated and added later on. Gamers can also equip boosters that give cryo ammo, increased shields, faster skill cooldowns and extra XP. Five maps will be available at launch and each player in the team will receive XP and credits afterwards to promote team play. A second multiplayer mode, Strike Teams, will allow players to each rewards for the single player campaign by completing missions. With all the combinations possible, enthusiasts will have hours of exploring to do to find the perfect loadout for their style.
