In honor of the late, great Notorious B.I.G., Spotify has curated an expansive showcase of songs to highlight the Brooklyn legend’s inimitable abilities and examined some data surrounding streams of Biggie records in order to present some interesting facts for diehard fans to digest. It’s been 20 years since the Notorious B.I.G. left us, but he still continues to have an impact on the collective listening habits of hip-hop fans. As other recent stories prove, Biggie’s life and death continue to hold the attention of even the most casual consumer.

Concerning Spotify’s playlist dedication to Biggie, the streaming giant has transformed its Gold School collection into an entirely B.I.G. affair, packaging together 50 of his tracks for one sweeping collection. “Hypnotize” is the No. 1 most listened to Notorious B.I.G. song on Spotify.

West coast listeners stream “Big Poppa” more than individuals from any other regions; East coast fans are more likely to press play on “Old Thing Back” and “Victory.”

Male fans would much rather put on “Who Shot Ya,” “Gimme The Loot” and “Dead Wrong,” but female consumers are the quickest to put on songs like “Nasty Girl,” “Hypnotize” and “Mo Money Mo Problems.”
