Nike Transforms the Kobe A.D. With An "NXT" Redesign
The Black Mamba’s post-retirement kicks get an overhaul.
A gum sole isn’t all Nike is adding to the Kobe A.D. in April. Next month, the Black Mamba’s post-retirement kicks are debuting in a brand new “NXT” look. Here, the shoe has been completely overhauled and employs the likes of a modified midsole and toggled lacing system to go along with a lace-protecting shroud. The materials have also been changed up in favor of a breathable mesh and a dense knit.
Expect the more rugged take on the Kobe A.D. to launch in a “Wolf Grey” colorway at Swoosh stockists like Sneaker Politics on April 3 for $200 USD.
