Nike Is Dropping an Overhauled Air Flight Huarache
A modern take on the old Fab Five kicks.
Long associated with Michigan’s Fab Five and popularized by Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard and company, the old Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Flight Huarache is making a comeback — with a twist. A modern day nod to the early ’90s original, Nike’s upcoming take on the kicks offers up a tweaked nod to the original white/black/purple/blue colorway and couples a neoprene bootie with the silhouette’s signature ankle wrap. The biggest changes come in the form of a mesh toe box and revamped sole unit while the OG Huarache logo now graces newly added lace locks.
