Cusping the realms of two of the most competitive creative industries — culinary and fashion — is Danny Bowien. Full-time restaurateur and life-long devotee to personal style. Not only is Bowien the chef and co-founder of Mission Chinese Food — the hip American Chinese restaurant that brings Sichuan heat to the coasts of San Francisco and the bustling Lower East Side of NYC — but he’s also known for his bold sense of style. Dressed in head-to-toe Vetements and Gucci loafers, the fashion-conscious chef offered a look inside his closet for a recent interview with Coveteur. Chock full of pieces from fashion’s biggest names such as Raf Simons, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Balenciaga, Vetements and Gucci, Bowien’s trend-conscious wardrobe challenges the stereotype set by fellow sartorially-outspoken culinary giants such as Mario Batali and Guy Fieri.
