A New Heath Ledger Documentary Is Coming to Spike TV
And it’s called ‘I Am: Heath Ledger.’

As Entertainment Weekly and People are reporting, Spike TV has revealed plans to air a new documentary based on the life of acclaimed actor Heath Ledger. Dubbed I Am: Heath Ledger, the original program is set to air in May of this year and will tell the story of the Dark Knight actor through the lens of his closest friends and family members. A fast-rising talent in Hollywood’s upper echelon of stars, Ledger passed away in January of 2008 at the age of 28. Previously, Spike TV’s I Am docu-series has tackled other influential, high-profile figures such as Chris Farley, JFK Jr. and Bruce Lee; like Ledger, every individual selected for the effort had their life tragically cut short.
Keep an eye out for more on Spike TV’s I Am: Heath Ledger show as we inch closer to the program’s May 2017 debut. Late last year, Heath Ledger’s diary was shared thanks to a different documentary about his life.
