Hanon x Diadora V7000 "Midnight Express" Continues The "Saturday Special" Theme
Inspired by ’80s UK football culture and Italian sportswear.
Hanon has joined forces with Diadora once again for a V7000 “Midnight Express” collaboration that celebrates UK football culture and Italian sportswear. After linking up in 2014 for an N.9000 “Saturday Special” and N.9000 “Saturday Special – Transit II,” the British brand continues the “Saturday Special” theme — a public transport service which ran in the UK for football fans in the ’80s — by utilizing a model straight out of Diadora’s 1990 catalog and covering it in plush materials used on both football boots and tennis shoes.
Made in Italy, this V7000 features a double density EVA called D.D Lite which hosts a premium pig suede and kangaroo leather upper and ostrich leather side stripes. The black colorway with white and 3M accents draws inspiration from the trains of the ’80s, particularly the InterCity sleeper trains which cruised through the night. Hanon’s flame logo makes its way onto the heel overlays in embroidery and is screened onto the tongue patch. Finishing off the “Midnight Express” are Hanon branded lace tips and three sets of laces in black, white and dark grey.
The limited release will be available only at Hanon on April 1.
