Two of California’s largest streetwear names, Union Los Angeles and Vans, are collaborating for the first time on an Old Skool collection that fully encapsulates West Coast style. In this three-piece collection, the classic silhouette gets dressed in “Dusty Pink,” “Muted Gold” and “Off White” tonal colorways, complemented by a marine blue bottom sole inspired by boat shoes, “just for sh*ts and giggles.” This time, the humble design is constructed with quality materials: the upper features “lux” twill weave on the quarter panel and collar, plush suede on the toe, throat and heel counter, and “lux” pebble grain leather on the signature Vans stripe. Matching laces and midsoles round out the tonal colorway, while a natural vegetable-tanned leather collar lining offers a touch of contrast and luxury. The Union x Vans Old Skool collection will launch on March 18, alongside accompanying apparel for the capsule.
