Here's What's Inside Nike's HyperAdapt Self-Lacing Sneakers
Someone dissected a pair… and it’s surprisingly heavy-duty.

Finally, someone took apart Nike‘s HyperAdapt 1.0 self-lacing sneaker. The innovative release was announced by Nike last year, and brought to life the feature that was popularized by the Nike Air MAG from Back to the Future. Retailing at a whopping $720 USD, the shoe doesn’t come cheap. The folks over at MindTribe carefully look apart the shoe, and details everything from FlyWire works with the motor and an inside look at the charger.
According to MindTribe, the shoe features “surprisingly heavy-duty hardware.” While it’s not perfect, it’s definitely a step in the right direction for self-lacing technology. Check out the whole feature here.
