Pro Era's Kirk Knight Drops Madlib, J. Dilla & Flying Lotus-Influenced 'Black Noise' Album
“I wanted to drop an instrumental album that created a soundscape of my production.”

In recent years, Kirk Knight has emerged as one of the integral parts of the Pro Era crew — he’s even expanded his reach to creating beats for talented artists such as Mick Jenkins. To jump-start his 2017 run, the multi-talented Pro Era artist has decided to deliver a new instrumental project. Titled Black Noise, the album features 11 new pieces of production from Knight. “I wanted to drop an instrumental album that created a soundscape of my production,” Kirk Knight explained to FADER. ““I grew up listening to J Dilla, Madlib and Flying Lotus, and I’ve always wanted to contribute to the culture of instrumental albums.”
