Alessandro Michele may have just reached peak bizarre with his latest assemblage for Gucci dubbed “The Alchemist’s Garden.” The eccentric creative director produced a 2017 fall/winter collection for the high fashion house that is filled with glitz, glamor and insects. The extravagant range is comprised of outerwear, knitwear, tracksuits, suiting, trousers, and shorts that are predominantly swathed in vibrant floral patterns as well as intricate graphics of bugs and other fauna. Star pieces include a leather trench coat, vintage varsity jackets boasting binomial nomenclature and wide cropped pants wrapped in plaid.
