Y-3 sets its eyes on Los Angeles for its newest location and fourth brick-and-mortar in the US. Through the use of pop-ups, Y-3 has already created an excited LA audience. Torben Schumacher, adidas Originals‘s general manager, plans to continue captivating its customers by giving them “a chance to interact with the brand on a more tangible level.”

Siting on La Brea Avenue, surrounded by the likes of Stüssy, Undefeated and Union, the store offers an experience far different from that of its predecessors. Choosing to forgo the glossy black futuristic designs of other Y-3 flagships, this location is more inspired by chashitsu tea houses through the use of simple tones and wooden designs. The store opens with a re-release of the ComplexCon-exclusive capsule along with the inclusion of its men’s and women’s apparel and accessories.

In other fashion news, Virgil Abloh plans an exhibition with MCA next year.
