Nike Constructs Two Pairs of the Air Max 1 out of Canvas
With a subtle nod to the Air Max 93.

This year was the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 1, and Nike pulled out all the stops by commencing a myriad of special releases to coincide with the event. As the celebrations come to an end, the Swoosh brand has one more surprise as it reaches into the past to bring a piece of the AM93 to the AM1.
Sporting a canvas upper with hints of leather on the outside heal collar, the shoe sits atop Tinker‘s infamous sole design. The iteration comes available in two color palettes — Elemental Gold with a Mineral Yellow Swoosh and Clay Green with a Hyper Royal imprint. Lastly, the nod to the past comes from the inclusion of the classic 93 plastic “AIR MAX” tag on the back of the heal.
No word has been released on the price yet, but expect a January 11 drop. In related Nike news, get a glimpse of the new “Pure Platinum” colorway for the Air Max 97.
