Lomography Launches Its Neptune Convertible Art Lens System
Accommodating 35mm f/3.5, 50mm f/2.8 and 80mm f/4 optical configurations.
After raising $585,085 USD through Kickstarter earlier this year, Lomography has produced its Neptune three-in-one lens system. The Neptune utilizes a single lens base that allows three distinct front element groups to create three individual focal lengths — 35mm f/3.5, 50mm f/2.8 and 80mm f/4 optical configurations and two interchangeable iris units.
The kits include all three front element groups (Despina, Thalassa and Proteus), as well as a set of cut-out stops that change the shape of unfocused highlights to create stars, discs and crosses. A set of adapters are also available for MFT, Fujifilm X and Sony NX cameras that are compatible with the Nikon F and Canon EF mount versions. The kits are available in Nikon, Canon and Pentax mounts and cost $990 USD. For more information, visit the Lomography website.
