Gucci Opens New Store in Miami's Design District
Featuring exclusive artwork and products from Coco Capitan.
Gucci has opened up a new store in Miami’s design district — the outpost has two floors and is over 4,700 square-feet. Both mens and womens collections will be on display for sale and will feature the brand’s own grand decor. Creative Director Alessandro Michele has had a hand in the design concept and it features immersive concept elements such as velvet armchairs, industrial accents and other luxurious details.
The exterior of the shop parallel’s the neighborhood’s creative characteristic — “a customized mural adjacent to the storefront will feature a special Gucci illustration,” according to Gucci. Other things to get excited about with the store is that Coco Capitan collaborative pieces will be available at the location in the form of a backpack and yellow belt bag. A mural done by Capitan will also appear on the facade of the store. An art wall in the Wynwood neighborhood will also feature her work. According to Gucci, “These murals will be an extension of the Gucci Art Wall project that has been revealed in New York City’s Soho neighborhood and in Milan’s Largo la Foppa, in the lively pedestrian district of Corso Garibaldi.”
