Balenciaga Goes Grunge For "Graffiti" Luggage Collection
“COUTURE.”
Having already dropped a controversial $2,145 USD IKEA-referencing bag followed by an $1,800 USD shopper this year, Balenciaga is once again back on its luggage game. Dubbed the “Graffiti Collection,” this latest run sees the Demna Gvasalia-headed brand tapping into the resurgent grunge aesthetic with a mix of maximalist, spray-like printing and distressed leather.
Poking fun at the high fashion industry with graffiti tags such as “COUTURE” and “COLLECTION,” the range encompasses a swathe of luggage options — including everything from backpacks and pouches to a selection of wallets — and also brings in familiar silhouettes including the Classic City and Bazar Shopper.
Available now directly from the Balenciaga web store, ranging from $695 USD for a wallet to $2,350 USD for a holdall. In other Balenciaga news, the house has revealed changes to its fashion week plans.
