3sixteen Teams up With Schott NYC on an Arabica Cowhide Double Rider Jacket
Highlighting understated design.
NYC-based denim label 3sixteen linked up with Schott NYC on another iconic leather jacket design. Once again combining heritage, expertise and understated design, the collaborative effort is a modern rework of Schott’s classic Double Rider Jacket silhouette. Focussing on creating a product that improves with wear quickly, 3sixteen sourced a custom Arabica cowhide leather from Chicago-based Horween Leather Company. The soft and supple Arabica leather was specially treated to have a hard “sugary” surface that is treated to crack easily to show a lighter brown shade beneath.
Additionally, the jacket features raw Japanese selvedge, chambray lining accented by a commemorative leather patch and heavy duty Good Art HLYWD custom brass “snap-cap” hardware found throughout the jacket.
