In line with last month’s eye-catching drop, Japan’s uniform experiment is back with more cold-weather gear. Spurning minimalism for bold graphics, the label offers up an array of neutral-toned gear loaded with star graphics.
Starting with a base of black, grey and SOPH.’s signature blue, this new drop features sweatsuits, down jackets and flannel shirting completely emblazoned with small star imagery. On the “STAR FLANNEL CAMOUFLAGE PANEL B.D SHIRT,” the pattern mixes it up with monochrome camo, creating an exceptionally busy-looking garment, despite the neutral tones. Meanwhile, the “WOOL MELANGE HOODED DOWN BLOUSON” switches things up with an unfettered outer, relegating the star pattern to the internal lining. Small details abound, including small D-rings on the sweatpants, a snap button hidden placket on the down blouson and tiny uniform experiment logos blended in with the star pattern.
