Bold Colors Inform L'ORIGINE's Fall/Winter 2017 Collection
Revised staple gear in primary hues.
Young Ghana-based brand L’ORIGINE launches with its Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Designed by Dyllan Ahinful & Jeffrey Mensah, the label’s focus is “urban couture.”
Taking cues from Claude Monet’s famous quote, “Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and torment,” L’ORIGINE offers up a series of bright staple pieces. The line maintains a focus on primary colors, with some green at play to represent the flag of Ghana. Yellow, red and blue items blend in both the collection’s styling and design — a red overshirt features blue buttons and branding, while a yellow keyring accessory boasts blue logos. Multicolored block patterns take center stage on a blue rollneck sweater, while a yellow quarter-zip fleece offers a blue MA-1-type pocket on the left sleeve, ensuring that even the most versatile pieces offer eye-catching hues.
The selection is available on L’ORIGINE’s website. In other fashion news, Supreme and Independent recently revealed their collaborative line-up.
