Instagram Is Testing a Stack of New Features, Including "Regram"
Archived stories, Closest Friends list and WhatsApp sharing.
Following a recently released roundup of Instagram 2017, reports have now revealed that everyone’s favorite photo-sharing application is working on a plethora of new features, some of which users have been expecting for a while.
The most notable and exciting feature is the “Regram” ability, which would finally let users re-post other users’ photos and videos without having to deal with a third-party application. This has long been a glaring omission on the platform and will likely be greeted by users worldwide. The other large additions are the option to archive your Stories and also share posts and profiles to WhatsApp, a popular instant messaging service, with ease. There are also ongoing tests to whether GIF search for Stories, Closest Friends list, top emoji/top hashtag search options, and a numerous other functions, would be beneficial to the user experience.
It seems that Instagram, that is already running an Android beta app, will also launch an iOS beta app to allow users to provide feedback on the upcoming features ahead of any official launch. Would you be excited about any of these new features? Let us know in the comments.
