Chance The Rapper and Jeremih Reunite for Joint Christmas Album
A continuation of ‘Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama.’

Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are continuing their joint Christmas project that started in 2016, titled Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, by re-releasing the record as a full album this year.
News of the yet-to-be-named album was confirmed by producer Bongo ByTheWay, who said the project will come full circle with original music and classic remakes. “It’s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it’s gonna be a completion of that project,” Bongo said to Rap-Up. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”
Last year, the original Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama released three days before Christmas and was comprised of nine songs featuring contributions from Zaytoven, Noname, Hannibal Burress and more. This year’s re-release is currently still in the works, and Bongo admits that there will be some last minute finessing. “We’re literally still putting it together. It’s gonna be one of those [albums where] everything is gonna come together super fast.”
