Lionsgate offers a look at its upcoming horror project starringHelen Mirren. Entitled Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built, the film also features Jason Clarke and was filmed inside the Winchester Mystery House.
California’s massive Winchester Mystery House spent roughly thirty-eight years under construction and is purportedly haunted by the victims of Winchester rifles. Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built explores the property’s legacy and was partially shot onsite at the mansion. Helen Mirren stars as Sarah Winchester, the heir of a fortune stemming from her husband’s Winchester Repeating Arms Company, as Jason Clarke’s character evaluates Winchester to see whether she’s of sound mind or not. Building off the location’s disturbing reputation, the horror film has recently completed filming, which began in 2016.
