Adaptation & Artist Warren Lotas Link up to Create "FAME KILLS" Collection
Los Angeles through and through.
L.A.-based ready-to-wear label Adaptation recently enlisted the artistic expertise of custom artist Warren Lotas in devising its Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Keen to create ready-to-wear staples, which directly embodies the cultural movements of its West Coast roots, the brand welcomed Lotas to Los Angeles to get a better feel of the lineup, while soaking in key inspirations points of the region in which to apply his signature aesthetics. The result is the “FAME KILLS” collection.
The range itself features the artist’s famed skull renderings on a series of plaid-printed button-down tops, as well as on a black Trucker jacket. Proving more than just stylistically sharp, the pieces act as a travel narrative, of sorts, as the scribbled text captures various observations and emotions — directly attributed with his visit to the City of Angels. The collection can be found now at such retailers as Patron of the New. and Maxfield LA.
