adidas Brings Back the Original Handball Top

adi revisits an old ’80s performance silhouette.

By //Footwear

The adidas Originals Handball Top is back. Transitioning from a popular performance sneaker in the late ’80s to a casual favorite, the vintage-looking sneaker makes a return in 2017. The forthcoming drop is set to be presented in as OG a form as possible thanks to the use of the shoe’s original suede and synthetic textile build. Its colors also give off a sense of nostalgia with the combination of blue and red to complement a white-based upper. The Handball Top’s upper is supported by a gum outsole unit to carry on its vintage look.

Retailing for $100 USD, the adidas Originals Handball Top is expected to launch at select adidas Originals retailers such as Sneaker Politics on Friday, October 27.

In other news, you can take a look at Footpatrol and JUICE’s iteration, which is a part of this year’s adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange.
