'XX' Is a Horror Anthology That Aims to up the Creepy Factor
Created by four female directors.
There hasn’t been a lot of good horror anthology titles since the Creepshow movies, Tales From the Crypt on the small screen, and the Asian flick Three Extremes. Now an all-female-directed movie is coming out to try and put its mark on the genre.
XX by Magonlia Pictures and Magnet Releasing has just posted the first trailer for the project and it looks to be a total creep fest. The teaser shows us scenes that include a child purposely starving himself, an awkward bday celebration, a lady who crawls upside down on cliffs, and claymated doll faces. It’s tough to gather which story is which, but the titles include The Box by Jovanka Vuckovic, Birthday Party by Annie Clark, Don’t Fall by Roxanne Benjamin, and Her Only Living Son by Karyn Kusama.
