The Nike KD 9 "Aunt Pearl" Is Set to Release This Week
With a portion of proceeds benefiting Breast Cancer research.
After being unveiled last month, the Nike KD 9 “Aunt Pearl” has finally received an official release date. Kevin Durant’s “Aunt Pearl” colorway tradition pays tribute to the NBA star’s beloved Aunt Pearl, who passed away from lung cancer and played a pivotal role in Durant’s life. The latest tribute shoe features a black Flyknit upper with bright pink hits found on the Swooshes, insoles and Zoom Air unit. Additionally, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the model going to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, the Kay Yow Ribbon is found throughout the design of the shoe. Retailing at $150 USD, the Nike KD 9 “Aunt Pearl” is set to release January 28 at select Nike retailers.
