The 2016 FIFPro World XI Has Apparently Been Leaked Online
Is this the team of the year?

The FIFPro World 11 is generally considered the team of the year that most football fans remember, simply because it is voted on by fellow players. In early December, FIFPro announced the shortlist for the 2016 FIFA FIFPro World11, and the final results have been leaked. The team is dominated by La Liga with nine players from Barcelona and Champions League and Club World Cup winners Real Madrid. There is not a single Premier League player and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and PSG defender Thiago Silva are the only players from other leagues respectively.
Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and 2016 Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo are all included, and then more representatives from the Spanish top flight comes in the form of four Barcelona players — Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Neymar. Though FIFPro has claimed the leaks are false, we will find out when The Best FIFA Football Awards takes place in Zurich on 9 January.
