'Imperial Dreams' Follows One Man's Powerful Struggle Against the Trap of Poverty
The lead trailer for the Netflix film has arrived.
Netflix continues to push its striking new wave of original motion pictures. With the February 3 debut of the network’s latest major film, Imperial Dreams, just a week away, the award-winning project’s official lead trailer has emerged. Set in the notorious Los Angeles housing projects known as Imperial Courts, the aptly-titled Imperial Dreams follows a brave, street-seasoned father’s one-man war against everything that stands in the way of his family and a better life and future. Starring Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ John Boyega as the movie’s defiant paternal crusader, Imperial Dreams is billed as a “gangster fairy tale” that shatters the traditional “overcoming the odds” narrative.
