Universal Works Unveils a Natural-Hued 2017 Fall/Winter Collection
A strong showing from the Nottingham label.
First unveiled at Pitti and Paris Fashion Week, British label Universal Works has now revealed its 2017 fall/winter collection, which was inspired by the process of alchemy. With echoes of workwear, streetwear and tailoring thrown into the design mix, founder David Keyte has fused different elements into a cohesive collection that features the brand’s typically attentive approach to cut and fabric — including natural wool, Scottish tweed and luxury yarns — and an earthy palette of golds, mustards, olives and charcoals. With standout pieces including striped woolen outerwear, relaxed-fit pants and checked shirts, the collection embodies the label’s genre-defying approach to fashion and further enhances its growing global reputation.
