Sneaker culture is an environment that welcomes all and allows its participants to express the creativity to its fullest extent. In our latest HYPEFEET weekly series, we’ll collect and showcase some of the best Instagram images that display your favorite silhouettes of the past, present and future.
In the latest edition of HYPEFEET we take it back to NBA superstar LeBron James’s rookie year to remember the Nike Air Zoom Generation silhouette. Then known as the closest thing to Michael Jordan the game of basketball would see, Nike managed to go all in and bank on LeBron James with a huge $90 million contract before making his official Cleveland Cavaliers debut. As the result of a successful gamble, Nike’s leading man is now on the verge of launching his 14th signature silhouette with the Swoosh along with a tone of NBA success such as three NBA Championships, four NBA MVPs, two Olympic gold medals and many more.
Although the Nike Air Zoom Generation was not released in a huge amount of colorways, those that were released were able to command the attention of fans such as the “First Game” edition, White/Black and “Wheat.” As a result of the trio of colorway’s popularity, we’ve rounded up some of the best shots from Instagram of James’s recently retroed debut sneaker.
