David Brewster, the 28-year-old rapper from East Harlem had the love of basketball in his soul since day one. Before turning to his moniker Dave East and signing with Def Jam, the rapper was a Division I scholarship hooper whose former AAU teammates included Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley. Sitting down with SLAM Magazine, East goes into details about his love for the game, what it was like playing ball with a young Durant, and more.
