Carven has revealed plans to make Serge Ruffieux its next creative director. Coming off a successful run at Christian Dior, Ruffieux will assume his new role starting February 1 and the first collection he will work on for the brand will be its resort 2018 line. “I am thrilled to embrace my new creative role at Carven, feeling a real affinity for Madame Carven and her vision of fashion,” Ruffieux explained in a statement. “I look forward and am very honored to be leading the creative direction of the House as it enters a new chapter.” Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud previously held similar titles for the Carven, but left the brand in October of last year.
Serge Ruffieux’s first runway show for Carven will be the company’s 2018 spring showcase for Paris Fashion Week.
