One of the SoundCloud-based rap underground’s cult favorites has decided to begin the new year with a project. Capitalizing on the success of releases such as the fast-rising “Worst” video and collaborations with fellow young talents Playboi Carti and Uno The Activist, Atlanta up-and-comer Thouxbanfauni has dropped off a new tape titled Heavy Weight Champ. Fauni’s latest is a collection of 13 original tracks and continues to push the melodically-inclined, drug-fueled street sounds its creator has been building a career off of. Out of all the new “underground” rappers, Thouxanbanfauni definitely has one of the strongest fanbases and you can count on him to be one of the “rappers to watch” in 2017.
