Bentley Unveils New Continental Supersports, the Fastest Four-Seat Car in the World
With a breakneck 0-60 in 3.4 seconds.
It didn’t take long for Bentley to top themselves in speed numbers. After releasing the Flying Spur W12 S last year — the fastest sedan at the time — the company has just announced the new Continental Supersports and Continental Supersports Convertible, both of which are faster. Clocking in a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 209 mph, the new Continental Supersports is not only the “world’s fastest and most powerful luxury four-seat car” but also the most powerful Bentley ever made with 700 bhp and 750 lb. ft. of torque. The soft-top Convertible is the fastest four-seat convertible in the world doing the 0-60 mph test in 3.7 seconds and topping out at 205 mph.
At the heart of this newfound boost in performance is a bespoke drivetrain featuring a redeveloped W12 engine with higher capacity turbos and a revised charge-air cooling system. A special calibration of an updated Continental GT3-R torque vectoring system channels the power onto 21-inch forged alloy wheels that sport Pirelli P Zero tires.
Exterior changes include newly sculpted front and rear bumper designs incorporating a carbon fiber splitter and diffuser respectively, new side sill extensions and bonnet vents also finished in carbon fiber, gloss-black front wing vents and more. A new gloss-black, rifled exhaust tailpipe design, dark tint headlights and taillights, and a bunch of other blacked-out accents continue the sleek design. Optional features include a titanium exhaust choice, an aerodynamically balanced rear spoiler and front splitter combination for the coupe, side decals, and gloss-finished Supersports-branded carbon fiber engine cover.
The interior includes a unique three color split — the first tri-tone interior offered in this generation of the Continental GT. A new diamond-quilted design is incorporated in the seats and door side panels for a unique signature in Alcantara, while a custom Supersports steering wheel and shifter also feature Alcantara accents. Checkered Supersports carbon fiber fascia panels join the existing list of 10 veneers and technical finishes available.
For Supersports customers seeking even more personalization, an ‘X Specification’ pack is available, consisting of eight unique duo-tone paint treatments and carbon fiber door mirrors and heel plates.
