Gosha Rubchinskiy Bottles the Perfect Summer Weekend With His First Fragrance

Fresh off the debut of PACCBET, Gosha Rubchinskiy has officially unveiled his first signature fragrance. Simply dubbed Gosha Rubchinskiy, the eponymous, unisex fragrance was produced in collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS and takes cues from the youthful skate scene that inspires his clothing. It even features a wooden cap as a nod to the prototypical skate deck. Said Rubchinskiy of the fragrance:

I think it’s a smell for young people. It’s not for men or women — it’s like COMME des GARÇONS perfumes in the idea that I want some girls using their boyfriend’s perfume; it’s more like an art piece than a perfume. That’s why we are doing the launch during Frieze; it’s an art thing.

Fans will even have a shot at picking up a limited-edition tome based on the bottle next month. Entitled Perfume Book, the publication — limited to just 1,000 copies — is chock full of imagery of model Louison Savignoni having the “perfect summer weekend.” “It’s one boy on a vacation, the beach, some landscapes, summer and skateboard and that’s it,” said Rubchinskiy. “It’s the best way to explain my perfume.”

Rubchinskiy’s Perfume Book will debut October 8 at Dover Street Market, the Paris Trading Museum and COMME des GARÇONS’ Parisian perfume shop. As for the fragrance itself, it will hit DSM locations in November for $88 USD before getting a wider rollout early next year.
