Yohji Yamamoto Has Recreated the Iconic Stan Smith for Y-3
The “Stan Zip” features a bold zipper.
Yohji Yamamoto has created a luxe version of adidas Originals’ classic Stan Smith. The Y-3 iteration of the shoe features a modern and sleek update that features a one-piece upper using the same material seen on the Qasa. Yamamoto also updated the sneaker’s tongue and heel tab. The most eye-catching change is the dual-zip tongue, featuring a zipper that extends down the lacing system. The shoe is available now at select retailers such as Aphrodite for $290 USD.
