Howie Kendrick’s affinity for vintage watches has been documented on Instagram, where he frequently shares images of his extensive collection. The LA Dodgers second baseman sat down with HODINKEE for an in-depth examination of his favorite timepieces. The 33-year-old describes his first forays into collecting, naming Casio’s calculator models and Timex pieces and his early inspirations. Revealing the Rolex 5513 as his first Rolex purchase, Kendrick details the histories of his many watches. Hailing from a military family background, Kendrick details his preference for watches with functionality, displaying a military-issued Heuer Bundeswehr, an Omega 53 Military Watch and a Panerai Luminor Submersible 195 and more.
