The Blond Design Bluetooth Speaker Doubles as a Wireless Charging Station
No more ruined friendships over Apple vs Android cables.
London-based design studio, Blond (not related to the Frank Ocean album) has developed the “Duo,” a tasteful, easy-to-use bluetooth speaker with wireless charging capabilities. The charging segment of the product works through induction, allowing both Android, Apple phones and even Apple watches to charge simply by placing them on top of it — meaning no more being mad at friends for not having the right cables to lend you. This type of technology has been slowly making its way into the mainstream with placements at chains such as Starbucks, however Blond wants to push it further, making it more accessible for individual consumers. While dually functional with 360 sound, the overall appearance has also been taken heavily into consideration, meaning it looks as good as it performs.
