Left-field songstress M.I.A. announced her new album AIM, which is set to drop on September 9. Among the first releases to grace the soundwaves is this collaborative number with Skrillex dubbed “Go Off.” Premiering recently on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, the track features Middle Eastern harmonies which strum over a syncopated drum pattern, aptly complementing an explosive visual accompaniment as seen above. Never one to shy away from hidden meanings in her musical endeavours, the British artist (and assured activist) presents another thought provoking piece.
