For all you fans of Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli, a new exhibition will open to the public in the Roppongi Hills skyscraper located in Tokyo. Featuring 30 years’ worth of production materials from its iconic films such as My Neighbor Totoro & Princess Mononoke even including its latest film, The Red Turtle. The exhibition, titled “Ghibli Expo: From Nausicaä to Its Latest Film, The Red Turtle,” will run until September 11, leading up to the release of Michael Dudok de Wit’s The Red Turtle, Ghibli’s first international co-production.
With over 2,500 pieces on display, the exhibit features large 3D models of fan favorite Totoro as well as a 6-metre long replica of the airship from Castle in the Sky. For those hungry, the museum will offer a Studio Ghibli-themed menu including an all-black burger inspired by the soot sprites that populate several films.
