Netflix's 'Stranger Things' Season 2 May Be Turned Into a Sequel
The spine-tingling series is set to make a comeback.

Though the show just premiered on Netflix on July 15, most of us have already spent the last couple of days binge-watching the latest series Stranger Things. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the show was embraced so quickly that a second season may already be in the works. Producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen have gone on record to say that season two will follow the same characters and introduce critical new ones. As Levy said, the first season ended with “questions that merit future stories and future investigation,” especially regarding one key character’s change in motivation. Duffer also states the next chapter of Stranger Things would be more of a sequel than a second season. He tells ING:
“We don’t answer all the questions by the end of the season — there are definitely some dangling threads. The hope is that it feels satisfying but that we left room and that if people respond to it we can go back into this world. But if we do get to go back, it’s not a second season as much as a sequel.”
In the first week after its release, Stranger Things has overtaken Orange Is The New Black as the most popular digital original series. Check out the trailer below if you haven’t started the binge-watching yet.
